THE DISCIPLINE OF FORESIGHT: WHY WE BUILT ALIGO ENERGIES FOR A CHANGING WORLD

Image
When we first began conceptualizing Aligo Energies , the goal was never simply to create another industrial company. The ambition was larger: to build an enterprise capable of enduring global uncertainty and thriving across decades. Naming a company is easy. Building one that can withstand the unpredictable forces shaping our world is far more demanding. From the earliest strategy sessions, we asked ourselves difficult questions. What events have historically reshaped how people live, move, trade and produce? What disruptions; financial, political, biological, technological and social have repeatedly altered global economies? In answering those questions, we conducted what we called a “ Decade Global Shaping Evaluation. ” It was a simple but powerful exercise: study the defining disruptions of each decade and ask how resilient an industrial enterprise must be to survive them. A striking pattern emerged. Across the last four decades & more, major biological events have r...

ALIGOB™ — The Birth of Strength from the Soil

Image
Every enduring brand begins with a story. ALIGOB™ was not created as just a logo. It was born as a symbol, a declaration of intent for what Aligo Energies Ltd stands for in Nigeria’s agro-industrial transformation. At the heart of ALIGOB is a golden elephant standing tall beneath a green canopy. This is not accidental. It is a deliberate expression of identity, ambition, and destiny. The Birth of ALIGOB The Aligo Energies Cassava Refinery Complex Project was conceived to do more than process cassava. It was designed to transform agriculture into structured industrial wealth to move from raw produce to refined value. We asked ourselves: What symbol represents strength rooted in nature, intelligence in execution and unstoppable forward movement? The answer was the elephant . But not just any elephant, a golden one, rising within a green forest. Thus, ALIGOB™ was born. What ALIGOB Signifies 1. Strength That Endures; The elephant is one of nature’s most powerful and stable cre...

THE PSALTRY EFFECT: WHAT SERIOUS INVESTORS MUST UNDERSTAND

Image
In the last few months, I have engaged more than ten prospective investors. Two of them made a very interesting observation: they quickly referenced Psaltry International and rightfully so. Psaltry is a true benchmark for success in Nigeria’s cassava-processing landscape. However, there is a major gap in how some investors interpret the “Psaltry story" and it’s important to address it clearly. Both investors failed to see the intentionality behind Psaltry’s success both from the founder and the investors who funded it. One of them suggested that we should “work around $400,000.” As much as $400,000 is substantial amount of money, it cannot cover the CAPEX or OPEX required for a minimum viable, sustainable cassava-processing operation. Here’s the reality: In 2013, Psaltry started with a 20-ton/day starch plant, which required approximately 100 tons/day of fresh cassava input. That level of input wasn’t accidental, it was very intentional, calculated and necessary. With ...

Founder Vulnerability & Continuity Risk Matrix for Aligo Energies

Image
I always looking out for topics, posts & comments like this on X, this has helped me in the past 14months assess our project. On this, I had to use AI in the comparison & analysis in relation to our business/project analysis/plan. AI no kúkú get feelings, smiles, it said 👇 uncensored: Below is the honest truth, grounded in data and founder-failure patterns — and then why Aligo Energies is structurally positioned to survive where most founders fall. 🌳 The Founder Mortality Tree — Where Founders Actually Die Here’s the unsentimental reality: 1. Ideation → Validation (50–60% fall here) Most founders die before validating demand, usually because: The idea is ego-driven, not market-driven They don’t talk to customers They overestimate need They underestimate cost, timelines, regulations 2. Validation → Research & Planning (another 20–25% fall here) Because they discover: Unit economics don’t work Market is too small Input costs unstable Regulatory constraints impos...
