CHANGE IS THE MOST CONSTANT HUMAN FACTOR BUT THE POSITIVE ONE, I CRAVE

The most constant human factor is "change" and the most positive I crave.

When I started agribusiness in 2019, the only approach I took was seeing it as a business knowing fully well I'm not very good with teaching, so I knew I won't be joining the wagon of those who pose to the teachers as a means of advertising.

For me as Olaseni Enitan A'Azeez, it was personal and business with set principles, vision and aspirations. By 2021, I have learnt fast, burnt my fingers and made good profits. The sweetest of it was the profit part evidently before 2022, when Anchor Borrowers' Programme, a kind of involvement with a Nigerian government policy remains my greatest business regret and worst decision. May Nigeria never happen to you and I, again.

As Cassava Chips Priest, I am proud to say I have anchored my SME to farm Cassava, produce Cassava Chips, and trade same with some of the biggest player firms in the industry.

And permit me to say, the process has its own twist and turns, yet somehow exploitative to the farmers and suppliers. One of the reasons I sought a change.

The major reason I sought a change, getting into agribusiness, there were aims purpose and dream of having a huge Cassava processing company particularly Ethanol amongst others.

In year 2001, my late father; Alhaji M.A Aigoro was reading a Success Digest, where he pointed out to me in one of the articles that Cassava could make Ethanol, he himself picked interest and said not in exact words though, ... if he had known when younger, he could aspired to own one plant for it.

Surprisingly, he wrote a lot of his findings on his 1989 diary for months and handed over the diary in 2003 probably after he gave up that "wish". He briefly said you can find out more about it doing so in our Abesan Estate flat that evening.

That never meant anything to me until 2018, unfortunately lost the diary in sands of time but never lost the fire my father had ignited in me, only for to be refuelled in 2019, when I started making concerted efforts, fast forward till date as Cassava Chips Priest, it has been business and a personal endeavor to own a successful Cassava Refinery, which will ultimately refine Cassava to Ethanol.

The reason I have not only changed from talking of drying Cassava on the crude scale but going the way of business in the proper of doing it for maximum efficiency and profitability.

The change was inevitable, seeing the gross failures of Nigerian fabricated equipments and not been able to (em)power aspirations, growth and development to that elite level. I dare the fabricator to come forth and I show you the technical fault/uncertainty.

A change was inevitable when it will take 2-4weeks to deliver 10-20tons of Cassava Chips, when same can be done in 24hours.

A change was inevitable when Patigi and Igangan would have sapped profit out of one's delivery with undermined quality, packaging and diluted quantity.

A change is inevitable when rain is a factor in Cassava Chips production.

I choose and crave the positive change.

If I could have defy the odds to explore the production of Cassava Chips Production and Supply in Ojapata Aloma, Kabba and Ekpoma lately, then there should be nothing stopping me from working on an ultramodern Cassava Refinery on our company owned landed asset.

Where Cassava Chips will be produced for supply, exportation, raw materials for Starch and Ethanol. And where Cassava as a raw material will be grown, outgrown, sourced and outsourced.

I can double tap my chest to say Cassava and Cassava Chips as a business is profitable, particularly when done right.

Agribusiness is business and with good intentions plus passion needs to be taken to business minded people/investors as same. Business minded people near and farcan also share the dream.

Choose your change wisely, I have just chosen mine.

Thanks And Regards,
