Where We Stand Out
One might 've encountered several cassava processing initiatives across 🇳🇬 & Africa but Aligo Energies Cassava Refinery Complex Project stands in a class of its own. This project was intentionally conceptualized not as a typical cassava mill but as a fully integrated agro-industrial ecosystem with the capacity to transform cassava into multiple high value industrial inputs.
At the core of our vision is a value-chain-driven industrial development model. Unlike conventional processors that focus on one or two cassava derivatives, Aligo Energies is structured to produce a diversified range of outputs that serve as critical raw materials to numerous sectors, including:
- Food and beverage manufacturing
- Bio-energy and renewable fuel industries
- Pharmaceutical and chemical production
- Livestock and feed manufacturing
- Adhesives, paper, textile and other light industries
- Export markets demanding standardized agricultural raw materials
This positions the project as a hub for multi-sector supply, directly enabling the growth of micro, small, medium & large scale manufacturers who rely on cassava derivatives as key inputs.
By designing the refinery to support a wide industrial base, we are not only solving raw material shortages but also supporting Nigeria’s backward integration goals, reducing import dependency, stimulating rural agriculture & creating a sustainable agro-industrial corridor.
Furthermore, our phased development approach starting with Phase 1 (Dried Cassava Chips) and expanding into more advanced derivatives ensures continuous scaling, job creation, technology absorption and industrial growth.
In essence, Aligo Energies Cassava Refinery Complex is not merely a processing plant; it is an industrial catalyst, a future export base and a strategic enabler of Nigeria’s manufacturing competitiveness.
